Fair is Fair: Certain Former Cub Won't Face Charges
If we're going to race to post that a certain former Cub now on the Mariners has done yet another bad thing, we should also post when authorities have decided there isn't enough evidence to warrant charges on his latest incident.

Key part of the article.
But based on the evidence, city prosecutors said they would bring Bradley in for a hearing to discuss “the most appropriate course of action” to resolve the case," said Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for City Atty. Carmen Trutanich.
“We felt a criminal charge was not warranted at this time,” Mateljan said.
So it’s not resolved completely, yet.
I think we can all agree on one thing: this year, the last of his contract with Seattle, will be his last year in baseball. Who would sign him after this?

Unfortunately...
Unfortunately I don’t think it’s the last we’ll hear of him. Some day he’ll be a tragic headline, with a short bit of body copy, and people will say “Hey, I remember him.” in rueful hindsight.
Well...
…. us legal types out here are trying to figure out what they meanby that. No one seems ot know. The city attorney’s office has no authority to force him to a hearing without filing charges. Normally they would file, and deal for counseling would be done. They seem to want to go straight to some sort of deal, and without filing, how that would be binding on our subject, no one is sure.

King of the typos!

did you go to Cubs fantasy camp this year?
By all that's holy, I am going to attend the 2012 Randy Hundley Fantasy Camp.
No
Unfortunately I didn’t. I hear it was great as usual, though.

One of these years...
…. I have to do this. Preferably, when I’m still young enough to run…

I am going in 2012. My wife doesn't know it yet
you really need to do it once.

I don't think this would have much to do with it
It’s been his .205 and .257 average over the last two years that would prevent him from signing somewhere. I do think if he can have a bounce back year, someone might try to sign him. It is difficult to predict where something like this will wind up though. There are very few people in the world capable of playing the game at this level. Bradley has the talent to do that and if he could convince one more GM that he might have the head for it, who knows? However, I just don’t see Bradley wanting to play for the small sum he’d make.
So, I’m tempted to agree with you that this year is his last rodeo. it’s just a sad story in so many ways. He is incredibly talented, yet he can’t overcome his inner demons.

is that like a three hour tour?
Chronologically inept since 2060
Q: Why did Chuck Norris cross the road?
A: Ditka
Ditka's mustache can block a Chuck Norris round house
The sale to the Ricketts was finalized in October 2009.
Makes you wonder if, about that time, Tom asked Jim what the hell he was thinking on that signing. I’m not saying Tom should be pressed about it now, understand.
how
does this guy stay in baseball? one of the true black eyes on the hendry resume.
I wouldnt be surprised if MB gave this woman a nice chunk of money to forget the entire thing
a conviction might give Seattle the right to terminate the final year of the contract, so why not share some of the cash with the accuser?
ask not what the Cubs can do for you - ask what you can do for the Cubs.
A possibility
Wouldn’t be the first time. MB is bad news. I don’t think any better of him today. He’s a tool, and chances are he’ll burn through this chance like he has all the rest.
