2011 Annual Cubs Meeting - March 3
No, the Cubs did not IPO while you weren't looking and this is not a stockholder's meeting.
Got the following from the Alderman's office - apparently as part of the original night games deal, the Cubs have to face the music, or at least the community, once a year. I'm going to try and attend - if nothing else, just to see if anyone gets called "Sweetheart" during the Q&A session...

ballhawk: be sure to take this with you-

There are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. Who says baseball isn't a religion?
Depends
Depends on who’s there. If it’s constructive people with constructive ideas it’s good.
But if it’s full of people who moved near a ballpark and are surprised it’s noisy it isn’t.
Nothing happens unless it's first a dream
Interesting...
I think I’m going to try to make it to this – thanks for posting!
Never been to that police station (and hopefully never will after this meeting!)… is it going to be held in a smaller room? Should I arrive early?
That's the new police station on Addison.
It’s a large building. They probably have a decent-sized meeting room.

Only if Dan "follows" me... ;-)
Seriously, that’s a good idea. Right now it looks like I should be able to make the meeting so if any juicy tidbits thrown out there, I’ll tweet about it.
So if your Thursday evening needs some levity, brevity, and borderline insanity, follow me on Twitter at Ballhawk_Ken.

So how do you 'tweet' and catch baseballs at the same time?
Do you tweet one handed?

Ha! I have a hard enough time catching (and tweeting) with two hands, let alone one...

Cool.
I’ll try to keep an eye out for your tweets and throw ya some RTs.
