Anyone getting the MLB App this year? I have always gotten it in years past. This year it is going to cost me $14.99 on my iPhone. I just have a hard time paying that much money for something I'm going to use for about 8 months. I generally don't buy apps that are more than a dollar or two on principle. Just seems ridiculous to me, although the contract and the phone itself is just as bad.
I love the features that come with the app, especially as someone who lives out of state. I can recall being at school last summer and listening to Pat and Ron on the app while waiting for a bus or for class to start. But I'm wondering if they're worth the money. Yes, $15 isn't a ton, but as a college student that's 2 meals. The ESPN Scorecenter app is nice. It has standings and balls and strikes.
Anyone else having this dilemma? Is there a better app out there?
