Am I the only one who remembers that they abandoned the prerecorded batter intros late in the season?

They should stay abandoned. Long live the Lowrey.

I like tradition.

It was five seconds of music — not that big a deal. But if it were my decision to make, I’d go back to Gary Pressy.

Agreed

The idea of a player needing intro music is absurd. It belongs in the WWE, not major league baseball.

clearly if you are in the 5th

and worrying about Koyie Hills walkup music – you are not listening to WGN Radio

The world would be a terrible place if nothing ever changed because it was 'tradition'.

This is one of those minute issues that only Cubs fans would worry about. If it makes the players happy, give them their music.

Noise pollution is a major problem in MLB parks.

This is not about tradition, it’s about a decent ballpark experience.

Frankly, I'd be fine with batters walking up to the plate

to the sound of fingernails dragging across a blackboard if it meant they got hits and the Cubs won.

There are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. Who says baseball isn't a religion?

Organ music sucks

players want their own music, why not let them have it?

Grammar pet peeve.

If you really don’t care about something, the phrase is “I couldn’t care less.”

I guess.

Won’t stop me from trying, though.

I like the tradition

I like the tradition even if during Kerry’s early years I wondered what I’ve Been Working on the Railroad had to do with him before I know it was the Eyes of Texas.

Funny story about that. IN 2003 I was on the Grand Canyon train with friends. The guy challenged me to come up with a song that had a western theme of any type to associate with Chicago and if I did my drink was free.

I said “The Eyes of Texas” and told him it was Kerry’s at bat music.

It also could have something to do with I play the organ myself.

Keep Gary

Keep Gary as long as he swears on a stack of bibles he won’t use I Love You You Love Me for Darwin Barney.

Hands down

Gary Pressy. I don’t go to a baseball game to listen to recorded music. Plus, it’s entertaining to guess what he’s playing and the meaning (aka 3 Blind Mice).

We'll miss you Big Boy. #10 for Hall of Fame.
