OT: U-Verse finally gets the MLB Network
I mentioned this in a comment in another post, but I felt it really deserves it's own post. After 2 years, ATT's U-Verse has finally added MLB network to it's lineup. I know several of you (along with myself) have U-Verse and have complained about it's not having MLB, but now this morning it has arrived (and just in time to watch the Cubs being featured on "30 Teams in 30 Days"). It's only available in the U-300 package and above (and not yet in the Sports Package), but it is there now.

I’m at U-200. Upgrade is 84 dollars… Also need to upgrade to HD. Price creep is turning into price crawl or maybe price jog.
I was at U-200
Upgrade to U-300 from 200 is $15.00 a month. First month free.
Where did you get the 84 dollar amt

I just called and upgraded.
They didn’t offer the first month free. Do you have to ask about that promo? If so, can you provide any more details?
OT: I dropped the sports tier. Not sure why I ever had it. So my upgrade only came out to $5 or so.

I asked
The 1st thing I asked when they told me that I had to have U-300 or better was “Are there any deals?” I also checked the website and they had 1 month “free” (When you upgrade, you actually are paying the rate for the next lowest tier for the 1st month, so effectively you get the upgrade free for a month)
I was hoping to get the sports package. That would only be $10.00 instead of 15.00 and I would also get NHL. It would make sense to include MLB in the sports package, but it’s not there so it was up to U-300 for me. I really don’t need the Showtime and TMC channels that are included with U-300 and if they ever put MLB in the sports package, I will do that.

I think I did sports tier
Bc originally the big ten network was on there. Now it’s included in the regular package. I’m not a big hockey or soccer fan, so it was a no Brainer for me to drop it.
I wonder if I don’t get the discount because I’m in a “connected community.” My total bill is only $60 or so for both cable and tv. Any chance you are in a connected community?

I rent a condo.
The entire building are condos, not apartments. All condos are forced to use uverse. We get 100 and basic internet for free. Pretty good deal, we are very fortunate.
Although I’d prefer to get DirecTV, I’m not complaining.

I went to the channel to manage your account
went through the process of adding it and that’s what it said. I hit ‘escape’ before going through. Maybe that was a 6 month price or something.
nope...no EI, just MLB
