Just off the top of my head, based on interviews with Mike Quade and the little bit we saw of him as manager last year, here are a few things I think he'll do differently than Lou:
Use everyone in the bullpen to keep them sharp rather than have one guy collecting splinters for two weeks between appearances.
Manage his bench more efficiently by using double switches rather than running out of players by the 8th inning and having to use Z as a pinch hitter.
Put some thought into his lineups and match them against the opposing starters rather than cobbling one together, throwing it against the wall, and hoping it will stick.
Not allowing anyone to play with a nagging injury if it's obviously hurting the team, and putting them on the DL if necessary.
There's a start and I'm sure others can think of more, so have at it.
