Geovany Soto Primed For A Big Year
Article talks about the pot incident from two years ago and how it motivated Geo. He's 100% healthy now. I think he could have his best season in 2011.

I agree
I think Soto will be much closer to his 2008 form this year and think he may be the guy that makes the difference in what I predict will be a better season than many expect.
Nothing happens unless it's first a dream
I'd rather have him in 2010 form!
He was dinged up last year (and randomly benched when healthy), so his AB totals were down, but it was his finest season with the bat.

Definitely
But I would certainly accept his 08 form as well.

If the Cubs have any chance this year,
Geo must top the 500 PA plateau. Plus it would be nice if a vast majority of those PAs were in the top 1/2 of the batting order.

I hope Quade isn't stubborn enough to consistently bat him in the bottom.
My lineup in 2k11 is drastically different from what the Cubs will actually use, I imagine.

Quade seems to understand what he's working with.
Throughout the spring, we’ve consistently seen him batting Soto in the 5-6 spots, ahead of Soriano.
I don’t think he’s going to make too many inexplicable decisions this year. In fact, he’s handled pretty much everything that has been thrown at him pretty well – minimizing the Silva/Rammy fight when it happened, saying what needed to be said about the various roster battles, making good choices on the whole w/r/t lineups and roster decisions, then rhetorically slamming the door after Silva got mouthy. He’s shown that he’s in charge of the dugout.

I think the order
will be in a constant state of flux until it works. Q is smart enough to know that this season might want to be successful for his own benefit.
From what ive heard
Quade has said that he will bat Soto higher. I think i heard hell be batting 6th and switching to 5th some games and I think he said if Soto stays hot then he will keep him higher.
a catcher batting in the middle of the order?
how preposterous!

On top of everything...
I hope that hand problem that has plagued him the past couple seasons is completely healed.
Hopefully his hand stays on the bat on the entire follow through. If you paid attention to his at bats last year he did it a LOT and you could tell it was bothering him.
Here’s to a good season.
