Insane

I’ll give the nod to Reed for the better catch that year in Washington, but it doesn’t get much better than that.

I think Reeds is better too.

A lovely story:

One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who didn't whine, nag or bitch. That would be me....

But that was a long time ago and it was just that one day.

The end

Reeds dive

I don’t know if one was anymore impressive than the other, but, Reed’s catch gets a gold star for being absolutely crazy. If Fuld’s dive goes wrong Pierre probably gets an extra base out of it. If Johnson had been off oh his, well we might still be talking about the day his head popped off in CF.

Um that is the PERFECT set up for the funniest baseball call of all time

Here is a play call from the famously linguistically challenged Padres announcer Jerry Coleman

“Winfield goes back to the wall. He hits his head on the wall and it rolls off! It’s rolling all the way back to second base! This is a terrible thing for the Padres!”

Awsome.

I always liked Sam Fuld and hated to see him go. Hopefully he’ll get a good shot at a regular job with the Rays.

so sad

Juan Pierre hasn’t hit the ball that far since 2004, and he gets robbed like that? a crime, I say

OH GOD

IF ONLY WE HAD KEPT SAM FULD!!!! Just think what 2011 would look like with him and Pujols batting 3 and 4…ohh the offensive juggernaut that we missed out on
