OT: Draft Update - Pitchers Throw a Curveball - Can Clubs Adjust?
Dylan Bundy and Trevor Bauer have both told the Pirates and the Royals to (pretty-please with a cherry on top) not pick them. The article states that their reluctance to be picked (and ultimately not sign with the clubs) is related to the clubs pitching practice. Both kids say that they want to go somewhere they can perform "long toss" (throwing the ball 300 feet) as opposed to the "straight toss" (straight throws at 120 feet). Apparently both men have had some eye popping pitch counts - Bundy hit 181 one game last year and Bauer regularly is over 130. Discuss what you think this may mean to the mock drafts we have had around here.
