LAPD Makes One Arrest In Giant Fan Beating Case
LAPD finally made an arrest a short while ago in the senseless beating of Bryan Stow at Dodger Stadium. The cowardly, tattooed punk was taken down this morning. They're still looking for other suspects. This is great news.

Yes, great news.
Let’s hope it leads to a conviction and the message that this will never again be tolerated, in Los Angeles or anywhere.

Great news!
This just made my day. Hopefully they’re charged with attempted murder and not just assault. They have forever changed the life of Stowe, so their lives should be turned upside down as well.

Q: Why did Chuck Norris cross the road?
A: Ditka

Stow is back in the Bay Area
but still has not gained consciousness

He's likely going to be in a vegetative state forever
According to his family, who were on LA radio today, while they’re hopeful, they fear the permanent brain damage is so severe he’ll not progress much beyond where he is already.

That makes me sick to my stomach to hear.
I don’t know how the law works in situations like this, but if what you say is true, and he lives in a vegetative state permanently, the punishment should closely resemble what they’d get for a murder conviction — These pieces of shit have taken his life either way, don’t you think?

I imagine it will be an attempted murder charge
The suspect has a gangbanger’s rap sheet. If he gets convicted of this, he’ll go away for life.

Good!
Pelican Bay sounds appropriate in this case.

So far that's what's happening
His alibi is that he was nowhere near Dodger Stadium that night and was babysitting somebody’s kids. There was supposed to be a lineup for witnesses last night butI haven’t heard what happened.
Unfortunately, there’s somebody high up at LAPD who has been leaking info to the press. A picture of this guy leaked out briefly before the line up could be conducted, possibly tainting the outcome. Most agree he’s the guy, but gathering admissible evidence early on so far has been problematic. He hasn’t been charged yet, but is being held on a parole violation charge. If they figure out who’s been leaking info that person is history.

If he has a cell phone..
…and used it at all that night, they’ll know if he was anywhere near Dodger Stadium.

not sure about California
but here in Texas, we have an express lane for the chair.
to kill someone over a baseball game, which this should be considered as since he is now brain dead, is horrible. NO ONE should literally fear for their life when at a baseball game, or anywhere to be blunt and honest.

as if your "express lane" actually lowers the crime rate

I wasn't worried about my safety at all at Fenway last Saturday.
I didn't believe it last August, but it turns out that love survives.

thats how it should be
its a 3 hour hatred, and should be a fun time jabbing each other with puns while enjoying a game. one of my closest friends here is a Cardinals fan, and we give each other shit, but its a respectful shit and all in good fun. he will be wearing his cardinals jersey to the Iowa Cubs game with me this weekend, and i keep reminding him that when pujols becomes a Cub i will get him a new Pujols jersey

I wish only the best for Stow...
and only the worst for those who were responsible for this. Thank goodness there has finally been some progress on this case, and I hope these people are tried to the fullest extent of the law without any leeway given on their sentencing.
This incident was sad
and so uncalled for . Lets hope this sends a very strong message that this can never happen again . I will be watching the progress on this case . Lets hope the L. A. County D.A.’s step up on this one .
Having lived in LA close to Dodger Stadium, I'm not a big fan of dodger fans...
they vary from those who just go to the games for enjoyment (but who are not big baseball fans) to those looking to cause trouble (and who are not big baseball fans). A friend of mine who is a giants fan has repeatedly had her car keyed, and food shoved into her face during giant-dodger games. She hates going to dodger stadium.
OTOH, I love Vin Scully!
