Speaking of autographs.......
For the season ticket holders who paid cash for their 2011 seats, the long-awaited "Three Cs" autographed baseball has arrived. Not sure why we had to wait until late May for the signatures of Colvin, Cashner and Castro, but my ball was delivered today.
I realize Castro has some problems with English, but his handwriting reflects a deficiency in this arena too. In fact, the scrawl doesn't really resemble a signature, almost leading me to question its authenticity. MLB hologram sticker gives me comfort it's legit.

Can you imagine how much that would be worth if it also had Campana?!
Castillo and Coleman would have been a nice touch on it too.
Fasten those seat belts...
and a couple C-notes in there would help to make-nice with the STHers
yeah, right – like that will ever happen…. ;-)

do you wnat a high C or a flat C?

Q: Why did Chuck Norris cross the road?
A: Ditka
Ditka's mustache can block a Chuck Norris round house
Ditka's mustache can kill two stones with one bird

The concept was "sold".........
……..to the STHers back in December, with the scent of success still fresh for these three young players. Pay cash for your tickets and you receive the complementary ball in exchange.
The mysterious part is the timing. If a STH came up with the cash in January, why did the Cubs need FOUR MONTHS to prepare the “gift”?!?!

I can partly answer that question.
I asked the same question. I was told that the three could not be together to do the signing until spring training; Castro was in the DR, Colvin in South Carolina, Cashner in Texas.
That still begs the question as to why it took from March until now.

Right, Al.
That gets us from Jan to Mar, but then until almost June? Maybe their FedEx rates go down after May 15th or the Cubs’ 25th loss – whichever comes first!

So.....I had to make the decision as well
ball or 4K in United Miles? I chose the latter.

Ah
11,000 reward points which would net me $100+ in Best Buy gift cards or the ball. I chose the ball. Cashner’s has a sweet thumb print on it. Castro’s looks like a drunk monkey did it left handed in the dark. And Colvin seems to have banged Quade’s wife since he can’t get a call up with injuries to Byrd, Johnson, Baker, and now possibly Soriano.
I wonder if Cashner experienced any shoulder tightness while signing all of those balls.
As the nuns told us, sit up straight, even while writing.
not
many players write a decent signature.all these millionaires are too worried you might sell it.
