Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

VIa Twitter. I know there was a lot of angst around here when the Cubs waived him in Spring training, only to have nobody claim him and then he went to the minors. I guess it wasn't working out there either and now he's gone

This is the third team that's let him go in the last six months.

There’s a message here, I think.

And I think it's that he has physical problems

that prevent him from being a decent catcher, and are detracting from his hitting. Let’s not read any more into it than we need to.

No one should be untouchable on this roster unless his name is Eliot Ness...or Starlin Castro.

They couldn't get anbody to give them a A ball quasi-prospect for him?

Somebody might pick him up on a flier, but nobody was willing to give up any marginal value for him.

It's a simple question, Doctor: would you eat the moon if it were made of ribs??

Like I said, I think there's a message here.

If three teams couldn’t get anyone for him… go fill in the blank.

the other teams waived him because they didnt have a spot on the 40 man major league roster

but had hoped to send him to the minors. In this case, he already had cleared waivers and was off of the major league 40 man, yet the Cubs didnt have room for him on their minor league roster. So this is a new low for Max.

I could repeat what I said...

… I’ll simply stand by it.

I thought he was the catching savior?

Only the "savior" from Koyie Hill

That is a very limited form of salvation…..
