This is hysterical. The Cubs Single-A affiliate, Peoria Chiefs will hold a LeBron James NBA championship replica ring giveaway night on Thursday. Haha

So they'll really just receive a handful of air?

Jack Brickhouse: "Hey! Hey!"
Harry Caray: "Holy Cow!"
Vince Lloyd: "The Chicago Cubs are on the Air!"
Ron Santo: "YES!" "All Right! Let's do it!" "Ohhh Nooooo!" "Gee Whiz! Come on!" AND... "This Is The Year!"

crap

I can't believe their press release...

They really rip into LeBron hard. Skipping the 4th inning? Yikes.

But I have to hand it to the chiefs of the Chiefs. It sure takes a lot of guts to schedule a giveaway mocking LeBron’s lack of rings when you’re feeding a big league baseball franchise that hasn’t won one since 1908. Especially when the Cubs are currently a heck of a lot farther away from winning a championship than James and the Heat.

Well put.

I don’t like LeBron, but man, this is ridiculous.

Right.

It’s funny, I guess. But should the Cubs really be joking on anyone with no championship?

At least Ricketts didn't come out and throw a party and say...

“Not one, not two, not three…. not seven.” Right LeBron, zero. We can only hope.

But yes, it is kind of funny in a sad sort of way.

Cubs have won two World Series in their history

The Heat have won one NBA Championship. As far as I’m concerned, we still have bragging rights over those guys, no matter who they employ.

To be fair

the Chiefs won the Midwest League in 2002.

We shouldn's be so hard on Lebron.

God didnt want him to win, it wasnt his time. Plus to all of us people that rooted for him to fail, at the end of the day we have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that we had before we woke up today. We will have the same personal problems we had today. (according to lebron)

I can't stand LeBron as much as the next guy, but...

this is really pathetic. I can’t believe Pete Vonachen would allow that dumb*ss kid of his to even attempt something as asinine as this.

It sure takes a lot of guts to schedule a giveaway mocking LeBron’s lack of rings when you’re feeding a big league baseball franchise that hasn’t won one since 1908. Especially when the Cubs are currently a heck of a lot further away from winning a championship than James and the Heat.

Dind ding ding ding…that ^ says it all.

Again…I think LeChoke is about as arrogant of an athlete as there is or EVER was, but, this is uncalled for.
