I forgot he still had a job.
For those who don’t want to read it, he mentions Tom’s dumb quote about the team being fine once the injuries clear up, and then talks about Campana being a wrestler in high school or something. Also, that the Cubs stink.
GM's are in charge of Managers, not the other way around.
Only thing worse is Phil Rogers.
"They sell every ticket to every game, win or lose!" - Tom Ricketts
Yea this article is embarrising
If your a cubs fan it’s snarky and seems like he’s just
Making fun of the young kids on this team!
I wonder what kind of money he makes.
It looks like an easy gig.
Just one line paragraphs.
No readily recognizable reason to read what he writes, unless alliteration is your thing.
I can blog this way for free, or maybe…
I would have loved it if
Ricketts had pulled a baseball out of his pocket and said “Well, I was just showing Demp a better grip on his slider and I really think that should turn things around. See, what you do is…”
"Easy on the words, brother,'' Quade said.
Two quotes makes him aloof?
Someone asks team chairman Tom Ricketts if he has heard of any of these players.
"Yeah, of course,’’ he says. "I’ve been to all the minor-league facilities.’’
and
"What’s wrong with your team?’’ I say.
"We’ve got a lot of injuries,’’ he says. "We’ll be fine.’’
Sorry, but I gotta cut Ricketts some slack this time. Looks like Morrisey just mailed another column in.

David Haugh's column in the Trib is similar
Ricketts quote, suggest the play all the young guys,…

I'm in no way endorsing............
………..the Moron Known as Rick Morrissey, but for god sakes, “We’ll be fine”?
Seriously, Ballhawk, the guy is a buffoon. This is just another testament to his asinine behavior and generally inept comments.
"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day." ~ Frank Sinatra
I'm with you on the generally inept comments - it just isn't what I'd consider to be "aloof".
maybe “a doof”… ;-)
