TERRIBLE night for the main guys
Colvin 0 fer
Jackson 0-4 with 4 Ks
Vitters left after getting hit by a pitch….
Lake 0-4 2 Ks
Flaherty had an okay game 1-3 BB K R
Kirk, Reed, and Kim all got hit pretty hard
Szczur 1-4
Crap
they know how to fix broken hands and wrists, but medical science is having a hard time finding a good remedy for concussions…
Hopefully not, let's hope he was just taken out for precaution
it’s just so hard to tell with concussions, and they can really set a player back.
Reed ran out of gas in a hurry in the 4th
Kim was rushed in, and probably wasn’t quite ready.
I'm a Cubs fan. The Jaded Bitterness comes as a Standard Feature.
Reed seems to have a serious problem with that.
And him and Kim aren’t exactly strikeout pitchers, so they can’t afford to get in any trouble. Hopefully with another offseason, Reed will have better stamina.
Keep an eye on Paul Hoilman in Boise
Has prodigious power. Already walked 12 times in first 8 games. Won the 2011 College HR hitting contest.
If a quality pitching start is 3 runs and 6 innings, then a quality hitting day is 1 for 4.
Glad he's mashing
Hope he gets pushed along quickly. As a college guy, he shouldn’t find Low A very challenging.
I like Hoilman quite a bit
big strong kid, athletic over at 1B takes walks, big power. hope to see him in Peoria sooner rather then later.
Also true. they avoid it like the plague.
which makes sense considering they are the cubs….
Wha??
It’s been complained about before that they are too aggressive on some promotions. I think they’re just willing to take their time this year and make sure kids aren’t rushed.
Can't
Haven’t signed replacements.

Also their problem.
They have had plenty of time to sign a few more. I think it’d be rather easy to promote Chen to take Szczur’s spot.
Guess who played 2nd for Memphis?
I couldn’t believe my ears when I watched local sports highlights: Freddy Bynum. Oh my he is still in baseball?
I-Cubs had a big crowd last night, 13,549. It was the 8th largest crowd ever.
We'll miss you Big Boy. #10 for Hall of Fame.

Would love to hear of a repeat performance.
They have two liter bottles now? To think I spent all that time demanding a liter!
