On this date in 1969, it was Billy Williams Day at Wrigley Field. He was in the process of setting a National League consecutive games played record, the Cardinals were in town, and the place was packed. To make the day perfect, the Cubs swept a twinbill and Billy had 5 hits on the day. With a season like we're having, it's great to go back to that wonderful day when everything seemed ideal.
