Boys of Spring The Movie Needs Your Help
Tim Sheridan has been the public address announcer at Ho Ho Kam during Spring Training for almost 30 years. From the moment he began he's kept records and recordings of everything he's come across. He very recently sent me an e-mail regarding a documentary he's been assembling called Boys of Spring, which is about all he's seen and heard during his time with the Cubs. I had purchased a DVD from Tim titled the Voice of Summer, which is about the late Cubs' radio announcer Vince Lloyd. The Lloyd DVD is well worth owning.
Tim is asking for contributions to help complete the work on his movie. I asked Al if it would be okay to post this and he said it would. There are various levels of contributions, all of which would be greatly appreciated by Tim.The link in the title will lead to a website that has a trailer for the movie and details about pledging. Tims needs $50K by August 23. As of this writing, there is $1,510 pledged. Please click on the link and if you feel so inclined, contribute what you can.

Thanks BeerCub and Al
We are looking for fellow Cubs fans to help complete the film, but for your contribution you will get the DVD package of the film and more. So essentially you are pre-ordering Boys of Spring – The Movie. Trust me this will not be like any documentary you’ve ever seen about the Cubs, for one I’ve been shooting behind the scenes video for about 25 years and almost all of this amazing stuff has never been seen before. Secondly, the film will tell a Cubs story that most fans don’t know, with humor and drama.
The BOS DVD package comes with 2 DVD’s, the 90 minute movie and a second disc packed with extra’s. The extra’s include extended interview’s of many of your Cubs favorites as well as rare footage like one of the few interviews of longtime clubhouse manager Yosh Kawano caught on camera. I filmed Yosh as he waxed poetic about his time with the Cubs, Catalina Island , and some of the funny things he had witnessed.
I’ve been lucky enough to be the Cubs spring PA voice for a long time and be in a place to film some pretty cool stuff. All the money over the years working on this film has come out of my pocket. I’m not trying to get that back but only wanting to pass along an interesting Cubs story from one fan to the rest. I think you will really enjoy the film, check out the link and trailer and be a part of it!
Thanks,
Tim Sheridan
You're more than welcome
I’m looking forward to seeing the film. I hope people take the time to do what they can. It should make for a great part of Cubs’ historical documentation.

I'm going to be a bit forward here...
….. and ask for a couple of recs so this can stay a bit longer on the front page. Even if youi choose not to contribute, if any of you could see your way clear to rec this that would be great.
