An Ode To Matt Stairs

I'd definately want him batting clean-up for my softball team.
That’s kind of how I always thought of him. A most excellent softball player who hit the jackpot and made it to MLB. And I only mean this as a great compliment.
Never counts Stairs out, though. Maybe if he can stay in shape the Phillies will sign him when the rosters expand. They are looking for a HR bat off the bench and might be eyeing Thome. Who knows, maybe Stairs has one more PH HR left in him.

Before Quade's 2011 nicknamesy brigade
There was Stairsy, as Matt Stairs once referred to himself.

One of my favorite players of all time
When he was signed by the Cubs, it was at a time where I was addicted to Baseball Manager (I think that’s what it was called), and I was always making a trade for Stairs. Great player and nice write up. I would even have liked to see him as an extra bat back in 2007 or 2008.
