Cherington would be sweet...
as would Damon Oppenheimer, Forst, Chernoff, Levine/Preller, I guess I’m coming around on Hahn…There’s many good candidates, it’s picking the one who’ll be the one that’s an issue.
If I had my choice of a non-established guy it’d be between a battle between Cherington and Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer might be the guy who replaces Cashman in NY…
I kinda like what Tapma did with Friedman/Hunsihcker…and it’s another reason I don’t feel desperate to hire a GM. Plus, I’ve already stated that I think there is one move that HAS to be made this offseason, and with the Cubs’ money anyone, even Hendry on the last year of his contract, can do it. Anything else they do this offseason is secondary to landing one of those 1B bats…
Logan White
When he was giving a budget he stocked that system flush with difference makers. Plus he’s young enough to actually embrace the stat side of MLB General Managing. He also has a negotiating track record from dealing with draft picks.
