Interesting stuff.
I know that this project keeps morphing, and it’s now ten years after it was originally proposed. We’ll see what happens.

I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Now let’s find a way to get the darn thing done. Cubs hall of fame is way overdue. I could see the statues moving closer to the triangle building.
We'll miss you Big Boy. #10 for Hall of Fame.
a Cubs "monument park" would be great to have
for one of the oldest and most storied clubs out there
Although I’d like to see the actual statues stay in their places, encircling the field that they so dearly love
but a monument park with the appropriate plaques and dedications to players/performances/important events over our loooonnnggggg timeline would be an excellent idea, kinda jealous I’ve never thought of that

From a college project to a real business
“They were very insistent about some things – like the relationship between the museum and store,” Sandberg continued.

That doesn't surprise you, does it?

No it doesn't
I’ve seen worse. We went to Niagara Falls (Canada side) and we did Journey Behind the Falls. You take an elevator down and you can walk to openings directly behind the falls, and to can go out to an observation deck next to the falls. Amazingly beautiful. Then you take the elavator back up and the door opens directly into the gift shop. To go outside, you must walk through the gift shop.

Pretty much every modern museum or exhibit of this type does that.
It really doesn’t bother me. If I’m not interested, I just walk through and out.

Helps more than
being named Quade
I'm a Cubs fan. The Jaded Bitterness comes as a Standard Feature.
So the Architect was a Notre dame student
And Crane Kenney is a ND grad. So now I have to envision Wrigley Field with a golden dome over the scoreboard. This is getting pricey.

I even see multiple similarities between the two teams on the field.....

I talked to Todd Rickets
during the last homestand. I suggested have Cubs fans donate one dollar to get this thing built he gave me a luke warm response to it. Basically he said we play enough to get to Wrigley. I said well why not have the people who care about Wrigley the most help get this thing done. He said thanks and continued walking.
If it was easy it wouldn't be the Cubs.

They should build the Triangle Building immediately.
Sever it from their request for public funds for Wrigley.
This building is anticipated to be a money-maker, and the Ricketts were planning to build it with their own funds anyway.
Moreover, their attempt to wed the publicly-funded Wrigley remodel to the privately-funded Triangle building were laughed off. There’s absolutely no leverage to be gained by promising this “community improvement” in exchange for public stadium funds.
So why wait?

The reason --
The Ricketts know that, at some point, they may have to play the “we’re moving from Wrigley” card in order to pry money out of the public coffers.
Building a high-$$$ facility right next door to Wrigley would remove that arrow from their quiver.
