Not even a court order would've forced me to watch that show.

I read the tweets. It’s pretty clear it sucked [redacted].

some very good parts - A Unitarian minister from Ohio once gave a homily about the word

“Scapegoat,” using Steve Bartman’s story. Also like the security guard’s (Amundsen?) recount
of the evening. Great interviews with some fans surrounding Bartman when the play happened. And as expected many predictable sentiments from those interviewed – Not his fault.

More than anything though, the story reminded me again at how lifeless I felt after game 6.

I swear these ads are driving me away from this site.

And no. Google TV doesn’t support AdBlock or other blockers.

Is it bad that I'm watching the a-hole BoSox?

And that I’m rooting for awful injuries to the entire Cardinals roster?

I hope they lose tomorrow.

But I am not holding my breath. It just adds one more insult to this season that the Cardinals are going to get in the post season.

9-6 now.

A-hole Theriot.

by chilango2 on Sep 27, 2011 9:41 PM CDT up reply actions

Gameday called it a triple

but the replay suggests it was a well placed soft double, Theriot taking third on a throw home.

by ChipSet on Sep 27, 2011 9:47 PM CDT up reply actions

Much as I'd dislike seeing the Cardinals advance

I can’t say I ever want to hear another tomahawk chop in a playoff game. And the Braves haven’t even sold all their playoff seats.

by ChipSet on Sep 27, 2011 9:43 PM CDT up reply actions

Their fans were spoiled by so many years of success.

I remember they couldn’t sell out for playoff games.

by jpeters407 on Sep 27, 2011 9:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Just watch

The Packers sneaked into the playoffs on the last day of the season and went on to win the Super Bowl. Now the Cardinals are going to sneak into the playoffs on the last day of the season and win the World Series.

Damnit Boston wins.

Massive a-holes.

My god the Padres announcers are truly horrible

just boring and rambling, not interesting at all

Cut them some slack

They’ve had to watch the Padres all year long.

by Jody Jody Davis on Sep 27, 2011 9:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Both are 70-90 so equally brutal.

Of course Quade wants to secure another job so he figures, lose this series and the Padres will like him.

by jpeters407 on Sep 27, 2011 9:57 PM CDT up reply actions

they didn't have to watch Quade

so edge goes to Padres

But Quade has provided hours of comedy relief.

And how many moments of what the F is he thinking?

only 1 more day and we will be A.Q.

Man, I hope so

Scene: Tom R walks up to Quade at the Cubs bus on Thursday morning and hands him two crisp $20 bills. With a huge grin he says, “Hit the road bub! Don’t even get on the bus, we’ve already sent your crayons and lineup hat to your home. Get lost.”

and end scene!!!

It may take longer than that.

I would let the new GM do it. That would instantly give him credibility with the fan base.

Don't they have Dick Enberg?

He’s a national treasure {in the field of tennis at least}.
