Andrew Cashner To Pitch In Arizona Fall League
He'll throw in relief, but the article says he could still become a starter next year.

I hope he can be a starter
And I think it’s worth the risk to try. Now, of course, I don’t have a medical degree and I don’t know his particulars, but Cashner is a TOR talent. Projecting into the near future, I don’t have much of a concern for the relief staff of the Cubs. There’s plenty of talent on the roster now and a few other arms in the minors that are projecting to be quality relievers.
What the Cubs don’t have is quality rotation arms. Cashner is possibly one of them. If they deem that he might have the ability medically to handle a starting pitcher’s workload, then I think it’s an avenue that they have to pursue even if it means that they may get neither a starter nor a reliever..

Yes
The benefit is just too great to NOT try him in the rotation again. One injury as a starter does not make him injury-prone or incapable of starting.
hopefully you are right
I just wish it were his elbow and not his shoulder

Another TOR guy would be nice
If the staff monitors him closely and he’s honest about how his arm feels, then I say give him another try at starting.
