I figured since Z wouldn't be back, might as well get a serviceable pitcher to replace him.

His numbers this year suggest he just had a bad year. Seasons before suggest he could be a decent pitcher especially if he moves to the NL.

Oops, misread the MLBTradeRumors title. I believe it's going to happen.

Sad thing is, if they wait for a GM to come around, all the good manager canidates may be gone and Quade 2012 will be locked in.

Yeah, it definitely looks like it's going to happen

I’m not too worried about the managerial situation. I think there are lots of candidates who will be an upgrade over Quade, and I don’t think it’s as critical to get a specific one of those.

The bigger issue to me is finding the right GM and improving the roster talent.
