September, 2011
Dear zimfrey
Thank you for your tremendous support as Chicago Cubs a Season Ticket Holder this season.
As this season comes to a close and we prepare for 2012, we’d like to provide you with some important dates and inform you of some changes in our season ticket renewal and relocation process.
Based on your feedback, the Cubs will host our first ever Season Ticket Holder relocation event in person at Wrigley Field during the final week of November. The Season Ticket Holder relocation event will allow you to come to Wrigley Field at an assigned time based on your account tenure and personally view seats that are available for relocation. Our goal is to add transparency and interaction to the relocation process that we’ve had in the past. While our inventory is extremely limited, and you may not find seats to upgrade into, we want to provide the opportunity for more personal involvement in this process.
In order to successfully implement this relocation process and identify seats available for relocation, we’ll need all Season Ticket Holders to indicate their intention to renew for 2012 with a first payment of 10 percent by November 16. Seats that are not renewed will be made available for renewing Season Ticket Holders at the relocation events. Following the relocation events, we will make remaining inventory available to members of our Season Ticket Holder Waiting List. You’ll receive detailed information about the relocation event with your invoice in mid-October.
The following are important dates for your calendar:
October 14 - Season Ticket invoices sent
November 16 - 10% Season Ticket payment due
November 29 - December 4 - Season Ticket Holder Relocation and Upgrade Events at Wrigley Field
January 12 - Season Ticket Holder full payment deadline
January 13-15 – 26th Annual Chicago Cubs Convention at the Chicago Hilton Hotel
First week of March - Season Tickets shipped
March 9 - Single Game Tickets for 2012 Season go on sale to the public
April 5- Opening Day at Wrigley Field
July 20-21 – Season Ticket Holder Family Days
Major League Baseball has released the 2012 schedule, and while times are still to be announced, we are looking forward to a rare visit from the Boston Red Sox, the AL Central Champion Detroit Tigers and our always-exciting match-ups with the White Sox and Cardinals. You can view the 2012 schedule now at Cubs.com.
You will receive more detailed information about the 2012 season with your Season Ticket Renewal Invoice in mid-October. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact your Season Ticket Account Representative,
Thank you for your support and feedback this season. We look forward to seeing you again in 2012.
Sincerely,
Colin Faulkner
