I am normally one of the first people to bash Joe West, and umpires overstepping their bounds in general. I understand the spirit of the replay rule for home runs. However, I do not agree with the sentiment in this article about how the call was handled. I think he made the right decision to review the play given that it COULD have been an home run that was interfered with. I also think he made the right call by calling Pence out - especially given that it was a home team's fans interfering. For me, this is another case where I think replay should be used in all it's possibilities. There is no reason that this should not be the correct way to do this. What do you think of this can of worms?
