I'd just like to know who told Morosi Hill was a popular Cub?

Sounds like he was just trying to make it sound like bigger news that an ex-Cub signed with the Cardinals to me.

I guess I could change mine for a small fee. :)

I’ve had it since the song came out. It’s a little old now anyway.

Gordon Wittenmeyer referred to Hill as "popular," too.

I think it’s an inside joke among the mainstream media. Either that or they really do have a warped view of the Cubs fanbase.

… I think he was, in fact, popular with his teammates.

The fanbase? Not so much.

Except for me.

I really did like him.

♪ He held me very tight under stars so bright and whispered darlin' "Who do you love tonight?" I told him "baseball, baseball...." ♫

Agreed

Very much could be that pitchers liked throwing to Hill and that he was valuable within the club house, etc. Not saying that the Cubs should have retained Hill, but fans have a way of marginalizing a guy who has some value.

Last year, Pujols beat us twice in a row with walk off homers.

Next year, after a strange incident involving a garden gnome and lighter fluid, Yadier Molina goes on the 30day. Subsequently, Koyie gets walked in for the winning run twice in a row to take a series against us.

I pray I’m wrong. And that we send Marmol somewhere.

Damn. I missed both Castro threads.

I refuse to believe this

After all, it’s just a tweet.

And what do I do with the Koyie Hill autographed picture I got as My premium for staying at the Hilton for last years convention? (at least my autographed photo was better than 1 guy I was talking to in a line. His premium was an autographed photo of Milton Bradley)

(Joking) It's Obvious: The Cards Will Repeat Now

(Joking) Koyie Hill will make up the offensive production that the Cardinals are losing with the departure of Albert Pujols. St. Louis will repeat. It’s just that obvious. Hill will move Molina to the bench.

Good things come to those who wait... and wait....and wait.

I Koyie Hill wins a WS ring...

I will go into a deep, dark depression and most likely be institutionalized.

As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

Who was the Cards' backup catcher this past season?

Yahoo!‘s depth chart lists a Bryan Anderson after Yadier. Never heard of him, but it looks like he’s a guy from their system. I guess I’m just curious about whether Koyie actually has a shot to make their team this season.

He signed with the Tigers, so they need someone else.
