oh goodness, the marlins weren't kidding.
I was hoping that the rendering of their new homerun feature was just some kind of sick joke, but this latest picture proves otherwise. They are really building that thing.

I don't think it's appropriate
If a Marlin’s Home Run feature doesn’t entitle the hitter to a Slip & Slide ride with Kim Kardashian, it’s not Miami. Just second rate.

"Pain is inevitable, suffering is an option." - Dale Sveum
The list of who hasn’t it shorter than who has.
The Kardashians provide a service. As long as they are around you can be assured you do not know the world’s dumbest human being since the 3 girls and their mother are 1-4.

This place looks nothing like a ballpark.
And it’s not just because the sod hasn’t been installed yet.

They'll probably draw well the first year.
Almost all teams with new stadiums do.
After that, they’ll have to win to keep filling the place.

Reminds me of the Brewers
The first few years they had Miller Park. That first season, they drew well, then floundered in terms of attendance until recently.

not when the roof is closed. I feel like I'm in a convention center.
to be fair, it’s not just Miller. I feel that way when watching a baseball game in any domed stadium/park. Something about being enclosed just doesn’t feel right for baseball. Probably because I was an outfielder – I need sky.

I can't imagine a ballhawk liking a domed stadium. ;-)
The best husband in the world has reported to the 2012 Randy Hundley Cubs Fantasy camp!
when you're ballhawking do you at least have a radio to listen to the game??
I think I know which ballhawk you are…never saw a radio. I used to live at 3837 Kenmore and was always outside the stadium. With headphones though.

Tthis is awful
I am starting to see how your Marlins rant was justified.
I'm sick of hearing about...
the Marlins. And BCB has been the biggest provider of Marlins content, as far as the online blogs/websites that I read. Which if, of course, kinda strange.

Yes...
I clicked a thread to post my thoughts on the topic.
Mind-blowing, isn’t it?

Sue has a good point. If you don’t like reading about them and you see a thread about them don’t go into the thread!
It would be like me watching an According to Jim rerun and complaining about watching Jim Belushi.

I don't have a problem with this anymore
If you’re going to go tacky, go the full tacky. The Marlins are going to be the drag queens of Major League Baseball. The only thing they are missing are real drag queens, and I hope that Ozzie is going to rectify that soon.

Oh the drag queens will the there
This is Miami we’re talking about……

If I ever see a game there
The only image that has been wandering through my head of what it would be like to walk in would be like walking into a circus tent. Clowns, aweful music, flashing lights everywhere, aweful color scheme.

They should have renamed the team the Miami Birdcages.

Or they could pay homage to their biggest fan - the Miami Yellons... ;-)

All the Marlins talk is getting old...
…but this was worth posting no matter which team it was. This is truly awful.
