Looks like your prediction about Woody signing before Cubs Convention...
…is going to come true. I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t.

It's just a tweet!!!!
I kid, I kid.

Well, if it's a tweet then it must be
He’s not worth it, but, I’d offer…1 year, 2 million AND only one trip to the DL or contract is void. Works for me. GITRDUNJED!!!
Happy New Year to all BCBers...be safe.
Yeah, you're right...
…he’s pretty dependable and is always there when we need him.
Happy New Year to all BCBers...be safe.
Has there ever been a contract that included a void clause for DL trips?
Even multiple DL trips?
Yeah, you’re right.…he’s pretty dependable and is always there when we need him.
How can I be right about something I never said?
No...I meant you were right about that DL clause I recommended...
…his dependability has never let us down.
Happy New Year to all BCBers...be safe.
Thinking it's a stupid idea is not the same as saying he's dependable...
I think you understand that. Your TJ impression needs some work.
And thinking I give a f*ck what you think is a mistake on your part...
…but, by all means, pretend I do. And my TJ impression is coming along fine, thank you…see———→ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year to all BCBers...be safe.
Kerry on ABC-7 News
Kerry was on ABC-7 News with his wife yesterday talking to Janet Davies about their charity event. Theo will be at his event and Kerry will be at the Cubs Convention. Sounds like a signing will happen any minute.
Janet Davies....
How on earth has she employed by ABC for so long covering the most useless stuff imaginable?
Wood's Good Value for the Money
I couldn’t say that about Jeff Grabow. I hope Grabow’s enjoying all that money that the Cubs paid him. Wood may not be what he used to be, but he’s still a decent major league pitcher.
Good things come to those who wait... and wait....and wait.
Soriano will be moved along with DeWitt
The add will make 39 opening a spot.

or we can have the 41 man roster like last season
Q: Why did Theo Epstein cross the road?
A: To Dump Garza
Phillies are interested in Kerry Wood
According to the source today that the Phillies want Wood. Read this at http://www.csnchicago.com/blog/cubs-talk/post/Phillies-have-interest-in-Wood?blockID=627214&feedID=661
That would be a terrific place for him to pitch...
…their window is about to slam shut in a couple years and they got a team that can make a lot of noise come playoffs. I recommend Wood sign there. GITRDUNRUEBEN!!

Kerry Wood has about as much chance
… of pitching for the Phillies in 2012 as I do.

My 2 fiends who are big Phillies fans seem to think this is legit. I’d like to see him go to a team that has a chance to win in 2012 if he signs elsewhere. I also think the only way he signs elsewhere is a team with a good chance to win.

You have "fiends"?
Seriously, just because a couple of random Phillies fans think it’s legit, doesn’t mean it’s legit.
Kerry Wood will sign with the Cubs or retire, and I believe he will sign with the Cubs this week.

Correct.
Crasnick really is an idiot. Look at his latest tweet:
So if the #Cubs plan to re-sign Wood, they might want to start making progress here soon.
This is after another tweet of his that said:
Tom Ricketts & Theo Epstein are scheduled to attend a Kerry Wood charity event Friday in Chicago.
And so if the Cubs don’t sign him on Crasnick’s schedule, he’ll do what, exactly?
I believe Wood will be signed in the next couple of days.

yay!
You guys all know how I feel about him. I got teary eyed and all choked up the morning last December I opened BCB to the headline that he was going to come back.
I think I’ve pinpointed a big part of the reason. The last conversation I had with my stepdad was when I stopped by the house to drop off my car and my Mom was taking me to the airport to go to spring training in 1998. I went into say goodbye to my stepdad and the last thing he said was “When you come back you have to tell me about this Wood kid”. When I was down in Mesa I got a call to get home he wasn’t going to make it until my scheduled return. I got home just in time to say goodbye to him. But I associate Kerry with that.

Apparently not close?
Interesting if true:
I could really picture Kerry Wood...
…in a White Sox jersey.
Happy New Year to all BCBers...be safe.
that would be terrible.
Forget all that other stuff. I gotta believe.

It would seem those who pine for a "total rebuild"
would realize Kerry isn’t a part of that.

I have to agree seeing the moves that have been made so far...
I think the ball is in KWood’s court right now and he’d have to agree to make a deal with TheJedi that they couldn’t refuse. There is no sentimental feelings in the FO right now that I can see. that’s ok with me.

I think the only way he signs elsewhere is for a team expected to contend at least in 2012. That would not mean the Sox.

your
paying z 15 mill to play in miami.i think you can be fair to kerry.just because he gave the cubs a break 1 year does’nt mean they should expect it again.and with cash and marshall gone this needs to get done.what i’ve seen of theo so far is a politician who talks out of both sides of his mouth.but hopefully this gets done.
