Thinking about the 10k I spent on cubs season tickets going to a McDonalds’ property and Theo buying Patrick Sharp’s house out of escrow (guy who actually brought a championship to this city) makes me want to vomit. I hope Theo is bringing some of Manny/Noma/Papi/et all’s juice with him, because if not we will have more Ls than runs scored over the course of next year. I seriously can’t believe I renewed, I feel like we are being yucking (:)) fleeced (the Yankees have cheaper bleacher seats than us and they carry a HUGE payroll).

No question the ticket prices are a problem

and I hope Al gets some comments from Ricketts and Kenney at the convention, they are charging Yankees, Red Sox, Philles and Angels pricing for what is essentially becoming more and more a Double/Triple A roster.

I have absolutely no problem with rebuilding the Cubs and slashing payroll by 30 to 40 million, these moves probably needed to be done. However, don’t con your fan base with with Top 5 ticket prices, boderline criminal. You cannot charge $86.00 for bleacher seats for this roster, I don’t care if the ’27 Yankees are in town. I expect several thousand empties on opening day.

I just can’t see how season ticket holders can take these prices for this rebuilding sitiuation.

Last year’s Opening Day didn’t sell out until a couple of days before the game.

actually starting LaHair at 1B is a good plan for the long term

If Rizzo was rushed than Hoyer would know first person and if LaHair has a good start and develops more value a team might bite on a 29 year old for more talent and Rizzo is then ready.
