I know he isn't the optimal solution, but the latest reports show he wants out of Seattle.

My thought are that he wants out, could use a fresh start, and could only cost a B level prospect.

I have to be honest and say that I would be concerned about his recent performance vs. his salary / age, but he could be that "lightning in a bottle" we would need at 3B, and offer a true leadoff hitter, while allowing time for our prospects to develop.

I don't think he would do any worse than our current round robin options, and could just need a change of scenery.
