Cubs Redo Wrigley Playing Surface

At an expense of $400,000, the Cubs have completely redone the Wrigley playing surface. This included replacing sod and dirt. Wrigley's surface has continued to get criticism, with some players calling it the worst field in the game. Of note is that the Cubs are going to evaluate curtailing non baseball related events, though its hard to see them cutting off the revenue from concerts, etc. Lets not forget that the Cubs are not far removed from having the entire field completely redone, installing drainage, leveling the field to remove a significant crown, in what was at the time deemed to be a major improvement.
