Wrigley Field is all decked out for the holiday season.

Despite the ridiculously warm weather in Chicago this weekend, the Cubs went ahead and opened the Rink at Wrigley Friday; it will be open through February for skating on the triangle property adjacent to Wrigley Field.

Here are the details on the rink. It's open from 2-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 2-10 p.m. Friday; noon-10 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. It costs $5 for adults and $3 for kids Monday through Thursday, and $10 for adults and $6 for kids Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Skate rentals, if you don't have your own, are $5 Monday through Thursday, $10 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Cubs also had a ceremony Friday evening to light a Christmas tree right near the marquee at Clark and Addison (there's also a menorah which will be lit for Hanukkah beginning a week from now). It would be nice if the gift boxes beneath had a third baseman, outfielder or some bullpen help for the 2013 Cubs. Here's an additional view of the tree (click on the image for a much larger version in a new browser window or tab):
