Around SBN: Indy 500: Coverage of the 'Greatest Spectacle In Racing'

This is an interesting list, as he explains it as a pref list - meaning who he would trade for in order from 1st to 101st should he have to choose. I also included it because he adds this interesting excerpt as well:

Q: Where would Jorge Soler rank?
A: Number 38 (or number 39 if Cespedes was also getting ranked), ahead of Yasmani Grandal.
Q: Where would Gerardo Concepcion rank?
A: Concepcion has signed with the Cubs, so he is eligible for this list, but he's not a Top 101 prospect for me.

Rizzo ranked ahead of Alonso

By 11 picks, so not a large gap.

Like ridiculously low

He is never a fan of milb 1B

Too high of an offensive standard to be good at the position in the bigs.

I totally agree with Goldstein on this one

A slightly above average hitter who can play first base isn’t some kind of rarity.

I am surprised and yet not surprised that Law ranked Rizzo the highest out of Rizzo, Jackson, and Baez.

I've been on the fence about spending that much money on the Cubans.

But it would be awesome to have these guys in our farm system. Considering the new CBA, the lack of talent in the farm system, and the money not spent this offseason, I say go for it.

Goldstein isn't high on non-superstar first basemen

He’s got Rizzo and Alonso in totally different places than Law.

Its hard to read this list and figure out what to make of it.

Kevin himself admits that hes a journalist and not a scout.

I would also take his list over just about anyone in the industry...

He does an extensive amount of research and really puts a lot of unique touches on his lists. I really like them, even if I don’t agree 100% with them.
