My favorite part:

Just kidding, I didn’t read it.
THIS IS THE YEAR.

What is wrong with you?
This was actually good writing about a great game. What is your problem? Seriously.

Could you do me a favor and show me the part where I say it's bad writing about a terrible game?
Yeah….I’ll wait.

But this article was written by Sam Fuld about winning baseball.
OMG!

Well, it was the truth.
Sam Fuld was on a winning baseball team in 2011.

Technically, if you must know:
This was my idea, and I wrote this part:

and SWL wrote this part:

And they say the media isn’t transparent.

If you do this again
In the interest of real transparency, you should type all your parts in lower case, and SWL should use caps-lock.
I have submitted your request to our claims department,
and unlike SBNation, will also consider adding the de-rec button to our future posts.

I actually did have a favorite part.
Two outs to start the inning. It was down to me. Don’t try to hit a homer. I had already reached my quota on the year, three. Just extend the inning. “Sammy!” It was the same voice, same word, and same tone as the inning before. Except this time the hand gesture was a plea to come back to the dugout. My stomach had dropped, my spirits deflated, but I wasn’t going to show any disappointment. Frankly, I’m not good enough to have any baggage and remain employable.
This is not only well-written, but it also says a lot about why I liked Sam – a hard-working over achiever with humility and heart.

Good writer
Good ballplayer too.

If people could get past that it's Sam Fuld
It’s quite an interesting article. It reminds me a bit of Matt Bowen’s writing for National Football Post

This was a really good article
I hit up Grantland almost every day, because they actually post interesting stuff, unlike ESPN which is slowly becoming the TMZ of sports
UMD Bulldogs: 2011 NCAA DI Men's Hockey Nat'l Champions; 2008 & 2010 NCAA DII Football Nat'l Champions
I do like Grantland, too.
I get sick of their attempt to be hip and talk about reality tv or movies or whatever, but I do like the actual reporting much more than ESPN. There’s Buster at ESPN, and JoPos at SI, and the rest I read at FanGraphs or SBNation (Neyer).

Yea I tend to skip over the Hollywood stuff
Although the Reality TV fantasy scorecard can be funny, but their in depth stuff on sports is really interesting

I'm enjoying their coverage of "The Walking Dead."

I'm just glad Sophia is dead.
Now I’m dreaming of a Lori-less Walking Dead.

That windshield walker almost had her. So close.
I want Shane and Andrea to splinter off from the group and just go off on this Bonnie-and-Clyde-esque zombie killing spree. Just make the whole center of their existence hunting and killing walkers. Whenever the show goes back to that farmhouse, it just gets so tedious.

This team could win 90 games, if...
Garza, Dempster and Wells finish 1-2-3 in Cy Young award voting.
RF David DeJesus
SS Starlin Castro
CF Marlon Byrd
1B Bryan LaHair
LF Alfonso Soriano
C Geovany Soto
3B Ian Stewart
2B Darwin Barney
UGH!!
I think this is the first year in a long time when my non-Cubs fan friends haven’t been raggin’ on me about how pathetic the Cubs are gonna be, because, it’s NO big secret. So, I got that goin’ for me.
If the 2008/10 version of Geo shows up...
…I’d bat him third in a heartbeat.

Wow.
I actually got sucked in. I had forgotten just how jaw-dropping that last game was. Nice touch to get someone to write about their firsthand perspective.
We toggled between both games with @bat app that night
Cubs were tough to listen to last year but that night reminded me why I love baseball.
Little did I realize @ that time when I was giggling about how the BoSox blew it did I think that would have any impact on me as a Cubs fan.

baseball and college football I almost wonder something if they make an actual effort
to make their sport less appealing when it come to play off/ end of season. There won’t be that kind of excitement in the future by ML:B

Well.
First, that was an amazing convergence that wouldn’t necessarily happen again even if MLB changed nothing.
Also, the proposed changes might lead to further great days like that. We can’t predict.

Well that was a fun read
Sam impressed me. Good writing skills and great self deprecating humor. And yes I want BCB bonus points for using self deprecating in a sentence.
If the world didn't suck we would all fall off.
self deprecating you think you deserve it for?
Now something like
When I found out that the Cubs were getting TheoJed as their management team I was nonplussed.

I'm always impressed when someone uses "plethora"...
…WITHOUT “veritable” preceding it.

Veritable really goes with cornucopia more than plethora
