Around SBN: Ryder Hesjedal Wins Giro d'Italia

Its quite apparent we will have more of an emphasis on bunting this year. Sure hope we see a Cinderella story in this tournament.

I don't think it's

all that important that we bunt ‘more’ during the season, but bunting ‘better’ seems wise.

10-25-2011. Theo Epstein joins the Cubs. Now, the fun begins.

I'm going with Dempster

to win it all. What do I get if he wins? That’s the important thing here….

Bragging rights.

Who gets Carpenter’s spot?

I’ll wager on ‘not Soriano’

But wouldn't it be that much more hilarious if it WAS?

I'm going with Campana.

I hope he’s worked on this even more this offseason. One thing I noticed is that even if the defense knows he’s going to bunt, he can still beat the throw to 1st with a well placed bunt. It would also open up more holes to hit through if he wants to swing away. I just hope he’s not trying to concentrate on his power so much that he forgets to work on the things that helped him to get here.

I don't know who's going to win

but whoever it is, I’m betting that the eventual winner doesn’t come from the LaHair vs. Rizzo first round matchup.

I'm going with Barney

This is more a team-building exercise than anything

And actually, it sounds like a good idea. Sveum is off to a good start.
