I'm really getting annoyed by the announcements that we still don't know who's leaving.
On a related note, it’s gotta feel great to be traded as a “low-level” prospect. Real cheery job evaluation.

Pretty much
10-25-2011. Theo Epstein joins the Cubs. Now, the fun begins.
Completely agree.
I’m really tired of these “something is about to happen, but not quite yet” reports. Just let us know when something this procedural is done.
It always kind of reminds me of Space Balls. “Why are you always preparing… just go.”

Well, this is more info than we had on this before.
So I posted it.

Oh I don't blame you for posting it
I would have done the same thing, in your position… so I probably should have worded it better.
Though (and, again, I’m not criticizing your posting of it) I’m not sure this really advances the story much. It was safe to assume nothing would happen with SD until Theo-gate was dealt with. We already pretty well knew it would be a low level guy. And we could assume that the clubs exchanged ideas (lists) in the negotiation of said compensation.
I’m just tired of things being ‘narrowed down’ or ‘close’. In ten days, are we going to learn that the list is down to 6? Then around the last week of ST, we’ll have a televised special with the final three. The chosen player will be stripped of his “Cubs Way” binder, tazed in the hope that he forgets its contents, and handed a bottle of sun screen and a friar’s outfit.

Now you’re on to something. MLB Network’s been looking for programming.
It would, at least, be more interesting than hundreds of tweets about a bunting contest.

Theo & Jed will use one of these on the lowly PTBNL:

Ha, I was just watching that the other night.
“Prepare to fast-forward…fast-forward!”

Or one of those "inconsequential" PTBNL
“just to satisfy conditions of the trade”-a real ego booster.

"Low-level"
simply refers to the team to which the player is assigned. So, likely someone who was ticketed for Daytona or Peoria this year.

I wasn't referring to your reporting, just the fact that the teams keep reporting something is going to happen,
but nothing does.

Quick, let's demote Blake DeWitt to Peoria.

Hmmm.
You might be on to something here.
