The Rooftop owners are throwing in the towel already

Seems like the Rooftop owners are already discounting tickets. Came across this YouSwoop today:

(more after the jump)

Could it be that the Rooftop owners are going to see strong competition from the Cubs themselves with the new Budweiser Bleacher Party area? I was poking around on the Cubs website and came across this:

http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/ticketing/groups.jsp?loc=facilities

In particular:

Budweiser Bleacher Party Area

Entertain your guests in our extremely popular outdoor party area that holds 75 people and is located underneath the historic scoreboard. Your group will have early access as well as a pre-game buffet as a part of the package. Contact the Group Sales office at (773) 404-4242.

While the rooftops can hold more, they're definately going to see some competition for money if the Cubs themselves are going to have pre-game party areas setup. Also, this does take away some people from the bars.

Interesting.
