Hello everybody! I was just wondering what everyone else thought of Marlon Byrd. I get the impression from most of fans I know, that they don't like him. I really like the Byrd because he plays good defense, always hustles, and has a decent enough bat. I know he strikes out a lot, and doesn't walk or hit for a power, but he has great clubhouse leadership. I think he's worth the $15mil/3yr the Cubs are paying for him? I think he isn't that well liked because he came in to absurdly high expectations from some fans. I think a lot of people expected 25+ HR a year with a .300 average.

Now, no matter how much I like him, I think the Cubs should trade him if they're offered a decent prospect. He won't lead this years team to a playoff spot and this is his last year under contract so he wont do any good jumping ship at the end of this year with nothing in return. So what does everyone else think?
