Planning first Wrigley Field trip. Have questions.

For the past few years I have wanted to make it to a game at Wrigley and finally get the experience I've heard great things about. I'm hoping that I can get a little insight from you guys that know best. Myself and a friend are looking at a weekend series in one of the summer months. We aren't exactly looking to go to one of the premier series such as White Sox, Red Sox or Cards due to I'm assuming those ticket prices are substantially higher than other series. One of my questions was where to buy tickets. I was looking on yahoo and clicked on tickets and those prices seemed quite high considering those games most likely won't sell out. Another question being what would the difference be in attending a mid-week series in terms of prices, ticket availability and overall experience. We have a place to stay a few blocks away from Wrigley so don't won't be a concern. Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
