Somewhat OT-ish: Red Sox designate Michael Bowden

Pitcher, and Chicago area native, Michael Bowden was designated for assignment to help make room for a couple of new position (including former Cub farmhand, IIRC, Nate Spears) players to cover for the injury to Jacoby Ellsbury. Bowden is a player a handful of BCBers have expressed an interest in acquiring. So it might worth monitoring to see if Theo thinks Bowden is worthy of claiming.
