I got back home around ten tonight, so I'm going to do the Wrap before I collapse from exhaustion. I'm just that scrappy.

Everyone who played today won. The PCL even brought home a win, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Iowa Cubs

The Pacific Coast League All-Stars shut out the International League All-Stars, 3-0.

Josh Vitters was 0 for 1 with a walk and a strike out.

Tennessee Smokies

Rained out in Birmingham. Double-header scheduled for tomorrow.

Daytona Cubs

The Daytona Cubs excommunicated the Palm Beach Cardinals, 7-2.

Kyler Burke got his first Daytona win tonight. He went six innings and allowed two runs on six hits. He did not walk anyone and struck out four.

Brian Schlitter got his second Daytona save and fourth overall. Schlitter pitched an inning and a third, faced four batters and retired them all. He struck out one.

Center fielder Matthew Szczur had two doubles in a 2 for 4 game. He scored twice and batted one in.

Second baseman Ronald Torreyes was 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored once and had one RBI.

Peoria Chiefs

The Peoria Chiefs slew the Dayton Dragons (Reds), 1-0.

A great start tonight for Staling Peralta, who went seven innings and collected his second win. He gave up only two hits and he didn't walk anyone. He faced one batter over the minimum. Peralta struck out four.

Yao-Lin Wang got his 12th save, although it didn't come easy. He allowed two singles after two were out, but he got a ground out to second to end the game. He had one strike out.

Shortstop Javier Baez hit a solo home run in the second inning and that was all the scoring for the night. Baez now has seven home runs this year. He was 1 for 3.

Boise Hawks

The Boise Hawks vanquished the Vancouver Canadians (Blue Jays), 5-1.

Jose Arias improved his record to 2-0 with a five-inning start. He allowed a solo home run in the fourth inning and six hits total. He walked one and struck out three.

First baseman Rock Shoulders is starting to find his power stroke as he hit his second home run in as many games with a solo home run in the third inning. Shoulders was 1 for 3 and has three total home runs on the year.

Center fielder Trey Martin hit his first professional home run with a man on in the fifth inning. Martin was 2 for 3.

Catcher Willson Contreras went 2 for 3 with an RBI triple. He scored on the next play on a ground out.

AZL Cubs

Beat the Padres, 4-2.

Danny Lockhart went 3 for 3 with a double. Dan Vogelbach hit his fourth home run.

The Cubs Rookie League team is 13-4 and in first place in the East Division.
