When Alex Gibney's "Catching Hell" premiered last year in September, Al Yellon said he took part in a round table discussion that Alex Gibney conducted. The discussion didn't make the cut in the ESPN premiere. However, the discussion is on the DVD as a bonus feature.
As much as I'd like to put the footage up for everyone to watch, I can't, because the DVD is copyright protected. However, there's a take on Al speaking in response to a question by Gibney asking if the Cubs fans will still be "passionate" about their team when (not "if") the Cubs win the World Series: "Will it become less important?" Al's respone was:
"Yes." (Cubs fans will still be just as passionate for their team)
Al explained how things will be different: "But the difference will be, all of this crap will be forgiven. Just once I want to know how it feels to be those fans in those stands that we see every year in October rooting for whoever wins a World Series. I want to be that person. I want to know how that feels."
The discussion sequence is four and a half minutes in length and Al's part isn't until the final 30 seconds of the sequence for those of you planning on watching the DVD.
