Building a Cubs player database

I have always been fascinated by the MLB minor league system and following players throughout their development. Figuring out who the young stars are and who will be promoted is as fun as it is challenging. I find myself following the minor recaps daily and usually I have to go to many sources to find information on players such as how long they've been with their current team and stats so that I can really get the pulse of the minor leagues. So, I am building a database to capture all the details of the Cub's players. -Player information (DOB, MLB debuts, how we acquired them) -Player team history (tracks player progress through the system) -Stats (could be challenging to maintain) -National prospects rankings -Comparisons to other similar players (i.e. how has Brett Jackson compared to other outfielders drafted around the same time) If anyone has some SQL database knowledge or has any ideas for me and would like to participate, just let me know!
