Saw this on several websites, CBS Sports and ESPN. One says Cubs don't intend to DL him but he won't pitch again before the deadline passes. With Garza now unavailable, does this actually improve the value of Dempster? All speculation, but, if the Dodgers truly were more interested in Garza than Dempster, their eagerness toward making a deal for Dempster is, in my opinion, only going to grow. Can they get Lee for him? That's probably not likely, but, I'll bet Webster is "suddenly now doable." This Dempster situation has more twists and turns than the road up to Pike's Peak.
