I live in Marion, Indiana, a town of about 30,000 an hour north of Indy. Right on the border of Cubs/Reds loyalties. The local AM radio station has carried the Cubs for 50, yes 50 Years. The sports director at that station is a good buddy of mine. In recent years the Cubs have pulled back on the swag they used give the affiliate---no more tickets to games, pocket schedules to distribute, etc. Well last week my buddy was informed that in order to carry the Cubs in 2013, they would have to pay a fee. My buddy hung up on them, called the Reds and now the Cubs have lost an affiliate that has been with them for 50 years. Nice thinking, Theo.
