It looks like the Arizona Fall League rosters will be named shortly. How exactly does this work? Are the Cubs picking the guys they send? Looks like teams can only send 2 guys below AA, which kind of stinks, because most of the Cubs prospects are in the lower minors.

However it works, who are the most likely names for the fall league?

Im assuming there are a couple shoe-ins. Matt Szczur recently reached AA and hasn't played as much as most guys due to football. That seems like a logical choice. Jorge Soler seems like another obvious one, since he hasn't gotten many ABs in the last year or so.

Outside of that, I have no idea. Might we see Baez there? Is Logan Watkins a good candidate? With so few prospects in the upper levels, would it make sense to promote Villanueva for the last couple weeks of the season so he can play in the AFL?
