I have no proof other than pure "out of whack" numbers, but there is a player currently in MLB that has a very curious case this year of being a steroid user and I hear no one discussing it. He is a 10+ year MLB veteran and setting personal bests in power categories that are exceedingly above his career norms. And, he's well over 30. It doesn't add up.
Now, I'm not going to name him or describe his case any further as I'm not sure how dignified that is. However, 10 years ago when we were all going through this steroid thing, one of the criticisms against us fans was that we LOVED the HR's and looked the other way as to how they were produced. It was obvious that something was amiss. Now, with the suspensions of Colon and Cabrera, we know that the game isn't as clean as we were hoping.
So, with that in mind, what say all of you regarding the discussion of a potential steroid user when his numbers suddenly in one year has such a considerable spike? What's the right thing to do? Can we have a civil discussion about the topic or is it still too risque?
