Melky Cabrera drops out of Batting title race and Cano PED rumors

San Francisco Giant's Left Fielder Melky Cabrera is not eligible for the batting title upon his own request.

Melky Cabrera has been ruled ineligible for the batting title as the Commissioner's office and the MLBPA agreed to suspend rule 10.22(a). Since Cabrera was short one at bat to qualify he was given a hitless at bat and would still qualify but he opted out saying "I have no wish to win an award that would be tainted", therefore Andrew McCutchen will be the leader. Before this happened, Bud Selig said he hadn't planned anything before that on the issue, which many people wanted Cabrera to be disqualified. This doesn't really affect anything, other than help Andrew McCutchen's resume for NL MVP (which i think he should win regardless).

Also, there have been rumors about Yankees superstar Second Baseman Robinson Cano failing a drug test, which MLB and Cano have denied.

I want to hear your opinion on Melky Cabrera's decision.

Thank You!
