MLB network is showing the May 17, 1979 game between the Cubs and Phillies. 7-6 after the first inning.

Wrigley looks very different. No seats where Al usually sits in left field bleachers. The backstop wall is about five feet high. Kingman is AWESOME.

The field looks very rough as there was a soccer game the day before by the old Chicago Sting.

Brickhouse is announcing of course and he sounds absolutely disgusted and amazed at the same time.

What a game this turned out to be as anyone who remembers it can attest. Bowa is doing running commentary from the MLB studios with Bob Costas. Interesting insights.
