So Long Turner Field...

... we hardly knew ya. The Braves are going to be leaving Turner Field after the 2016 season after their 20 year lease with Atlanta expires. They're building a new ballpark in nearby Cobb County. This certainly is an interesting parallel to the Wrigley situation. Turner Field, while not the most modern nor the most appealing of the "new" ballparks (i.e. ballparks built since the opening of Camden Yards), it isn't even 20 years old. Further, this marks the Braves moving out of downtown Atlanta and apparently building a facility that is going to provide a variety of revenue opportunities.
